Shannon O’Donnell, LPMT, MT-BC
MUSIC THERAPIST
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Shannon recently relocated to Texas in July 2024. Her passion for music therapy began in middle school, where she discovered its perfect blend of her love for music and helping others.
Shannon earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy degree from the University of Georgia (go dawgs!) in May 2021. Following graduation, she completed her internship with Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was then hired upon obtaining her MT-BC! After a few years in the school district, Shannon decided to pack up her bags to pursue her Master's in Music Therapy. She will begin her studies at Texas Woman’s University in August, eager to deepen her expertise in music therapy practice.
Throughout her clinical training, Shannon has gained valuable experience working with diverse populations, including:
Children with intellectual and developmental delays/disabilities
Children with speech, hearing, and motor impairments
Children with emotional and behavioral disorders
Adults with substance use disorders
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Beyond music therapy, Shannon enjoys reading, playing board games, baking, watching horror movies, and spending time with her friends, family, and partner. She is excited to be joining the Wildflower team!
