Our Story
Wildflower Music Therapy was founded in July of 2017, by owner and Clinical Director, Julia Sims, MME, MT-BC. Julia grew up in the DFW area where she developed deep roots as a Texan and a music-lover. After graduating from the University of Kansas with her master’s degree in Music Therapy in 2017, Julia knew exactly where she wanted to be: back in her hometown, fulfilling her dream of owning her own business and giving back to her community.
From the start, Wildflower Music Therapy has seen a steady, organic growth in impact on the DFW area. In 2018, Julia added her first part-time music therapist to the team. Now a wonderful team of 6, Wildflower Music Therapy is able to provide services in north Fort Worth, as far east as Dallas, as far south as Joshua, and as far west as Weatherford.
Wildflower Music Therapy began primarily as an in-home and in-facility service model. While we still offer these services, as of February of 2024, we now offer clinic-based services in our Aledo office, located at 9901 E. Bankhead Hwy. in Aledo, TX.

Wildflower Music Therapy offers in-home, in-facility, and clinic-based music therapy services throughout the greater DFW areas. Our current service areas include: Weatherford, Aledo, Willow Park, Azle, Springtown, Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, Burleson, Crowley, & Joshua.
As of February 2024, Wildflower Music Therapy is now offering clinic-based music therapy services right off of East Bankhead highway, in Aledo, TX (9901 E. Bankhead Hwy).
NOTE: Our availability for in-home services is currently limited. We have plenty of availability for clinic-based sessions, or we are more than happy to add you to our in-home waitlist!
